I'm looking for a reliable computer repair business or person in either Hattiesburg or Petal. Can anyone vouch for one ? They seem to come and go...or so it seems.

Thanks for any input.

Does Burton have a shop in Hattiesburg?

I knew them when I was a kid in Laurel.
His Dad was my Sunday School teacher for a couple of years.

Yep.
Arbor Shopping Center
(Behind Red Lobster off of Hwy 98, down from Newk's Express restaurant.)
4700 Hardy St, Suite CC

Here (http://www.burtoncomputer.com/contact.html) is their website.
Scroll down a bit for the Hattiesburg location.

Burton's fixed mine last time it died. I didn't know what was wrong with it and it ended up needing a new harddrive. I let them fix it since it was already there, but I have a HP and they loaded generic drivers to run everything and some things worked, some didn't. I had to get a set of HP disk's from HP and format my harddrive and reload all the HP stuff myself. It works fine now.

call gus or amos at paladin systems

he'll have your system fixed in one day, and doesn't charge you more for unnecessary crap like everyone else. and doesn't install any "remote fixing" spyware or anything like that.

BTW- he's been in business in hattiesburg for over 10 years now that i think about it- they are in front of sam's next to the title loan office

I used the Majestic computer service in Oak Grove. Pretty nice staff, fast service.....they are the ones right across from the subway on old 11. I hope I got the name right lol.

I guess I have enough to pick from now !!! Thanks so much for giving some names.

Interestingly, the person we used before (we weren't satisfied) has not been mentioned.

What a great resource this board is.

Is there any place around that will buy old computers. We have one of the old desk tops with printer, scanner and all that we don't use anymore and would really like to get rid of it.

Try putting an ad in the paper for your computer items. Or better yet have a garage sale, that way you can get rid of a lot more stuff from around the house and make some extra money while you're at it.
