C+*p, I have lost my ipod nano...any suggestions on what to replace it with? I use it to work out with and now I am lost...
Should I wait and get the new iphone or go ahead and purchase another nano...suggestions would be appreciated. Any preferences?
Did I mention that I stay hungry all the time? Anyone else have the same problem:smt102

My iPod nano is flaking out on me right now. However, I'm just getting a shuffle to suffice until the new Nano comes out; because I'm betting Apple will release a 16GB model in late September when all their new iPod stuff usually debuts.

The hype surrounding the iPhone died quick when people figured out it was just an iPod you could talk on.

Buy a couple of raffles tickets from the Jaycees for your chance to win one of two iPod shuffles or a $500 gas gift card.

For the money and functionality it really is. My Nano is the VERY first model they came out with several years ago and I've never had any problems with it until now. I think the only reason I am now is because I beat it on my dash a lot while the FM transmitter is plugged in because I get pissed at the buzzing and weak signal. Not my Nano's fault, but still infuriating. However, I can vouch for the Nano's rock solid performance through several years and they improve the design every year. iTunes is the easiest to use file organizing and transfer software I have ever used and that too only gets better with time. The new Nanos are not only cheaper than the originals from years past, but they also hold more music, play video, are smaller all the way around, and are more durable. If you want something small that you can slip into your pocket and literally forget it's there, the iPod Nano IS the best MP3 player money can buy. If you don't mind a little extra bulk, the iPod Classic is the best. I'm not a huge fan of the iPod touch other than for its wireless internet abilities.

Yeah I have an 80 gig iPod Classic and I love it for the ability to upload all my movies and shows I have on DVD to it. Keeps me from boredom at work. You could technically do the same with video on the nano, but the screen is just so tiny (the Classic is already pretty small), and you might run into storage problems as video takes up a lot more room than mp3s.

Yeah if I wanted a lot of video and picture storage I'd definitely go with the Touch or the Classic. The touch is awesome, but the fact that it doesn't hold really much more than the Nano is a huge turn off... along with the price tag. If you watch movies, get the Touch. If you watch a LOT of movies or shows, definitely go with the Classic. I'm eager to get my shuffle and see how I like it. I've never used one before and had concerns about its size (just a bit bigger than a quarter) affecting the music playback.
