Have you ever donated to MH?

It's MyHattiesburg's Birthday and I was wondering how many of you have donated to MH? I know there was a fundraiser a few months ago and we met the goal so I know some of you gave something. I can only imagine what it takes to run this place. I have donated a small amount but I will donate more in the future. I'm wondering what you think is appropriate.

I'm not looking to start a feud between those that give and those that dont. I'm just curious how many have and how much. I'm going to make the poll private so no one can tell who gave what.

I gave once right at the start and then again when it seemed to have bogged down just short of the goal.

The proper amount it what you feel you can afford to give...... the entertainment value along with the friendships that are made here is priceless.....

I donated $58 one time, but I'm not sure I feel comfortable with the poll. People ought to donate what they want & not worry about feeling guilty if they don't donate as much as others. We have a lot of students & young parents on here to whom even a 5 or 10 dollar donation can be a serious financial decision.

I wasn't trying to make anyone feel guilty about giving or not or how much they were able to give. That's one of the reasons I made it private. I've only been able to give a small amount. I honestly didn't expect to see so many people give such large amounts. I think it's great that they (and you) were able to give so much. :clap:

I donated in the first and second annual drives, and then again when the second seemed to bog down, as FE mentioned.

I think it's great that we have such a diverse group of people here and the fact that some may not be able to donate at all is perfectly fine. When we're celebrating our 10th year here, they may be in a better position to. The important thing is that we are able to raise enough funds to keep it going without costing Aaron so much out of his own pocket. And those that aren't able to contribute financially do contribute just by being here. :smt023

Again this just shows how much I don't know. I have often wondered how Aaron kept us going so well and if he used his own money. I must have come in after the fundraiser. He really puts a lot of time in on this site and we should all tell him how much we appreciate him as well as help him with the costs. I will definately donate from now on but as I am on a fixed income it won't be much but I will give all I can.
