He wrecked his scooter today. I just got back from FGH and he's not hurt that badly, just a messed up left foot, a gash on his left knee, and a scraped left shoulder. Maybe a few other minor scrapes. He should be going home tonight, they're not supposed to keep him.

we just got back from the ER. they had stitched up his left knee and left foot. toes and top half of foot was still pretty nasty looking. they were taking him in for a CT when we left. all in all - he looked much better than we had anticipated.

he was smiling, cracking jokes with aaron, and drinking a coke when we left. :-D

Hermione is no expert on bikes, but has taken more than one disability claim following bike wrecks. In fact, the first time I ever saw somebody with their leg pinned together and screws and bolts sticking out of the cast was at my desk. It still makes me sick to think about it.
Noway was very lucky.

i just got home- even after sitting at sonic for 20 minutes to get something to drink-

the amputated his testicles. not really, but they did subject him to high levels of radiation during his CT scan.

i should have gotten pics of his toe- it looked pretty cool, but i didn't think about it until she was almost done wrapping it up.


he said the bike is ok- just the left side is scuffed up (stickers messed up) and one of the "guards" that was over the handle bars was broken off.

the helmet is scratched from what i heard, and he's only worried about a couple of things:

1) where is other sandal is(which someone from AAA said it was still on the side of the highway)

2) where his insurance card is

3) how much his bill is going to be

4) if it was going to be 700 or 800 bucks for the ambulance ride

5) where his correct insurance card is.

6) which insurance is going to pay it.

7) wondering if he is going to need a police report to make insurance pay.

8) who's buying him lunch later in the week

9) wondering where his ring is

10) wondering how much to sell the bike for.

Noway I'm glad you're ok, when HPD dispatch called me about the wreck and wanted to know if I knew how to get in touch with your next of kin I feared the worst.

You'd just been loaded into the ambulance when dispatch called, I was stuck working an extra duty detail I couldnt leave from or I would've been there for you otherwise. I was relieved when friends started showing up to check on you and relayed your condition to me.

One word of advice...if you have alot of scabs it is really going to hurt if you take a shower. That road rash ain't nuttin' to play around with. I've road motorcycles from time to time. Some of them were easy to drive and some of them weren't. I sort of gave up on the idea of gettin' one. Mainly because of all the ATARI drivers with cell phones plastered to their ears....:smt105
