I'm just a little un-nerved or whatever about this upcoming election. I was thinking about now and what we had back then. We aren't nearly as in good a shape as what we were when Clinton was in office and frankly I don't think the two candidates we have won't do as good of a job as Billy Boy.

Sorry, I have much respect for Bill after coming out and saying "Yes she did give me 'party favors' in the oval office". That took alot of guts and courage.
Now we have Obama, who was a member of this certain church for MANY years, the preacher never changed, now Obama drops him like a hot potato. Why? do we really believe he just left the church or is he just saying he did so he can rub that black mark off his record?

How soon you forget young one. Carter, uh, Clinton had a shot and was a do nothing President. Benign. Held the office door open until a successor could be named. I still think were at war now because Clinton didn't have the cajones to confront the enemy. Instead he sent our troops to die for less than they are dying for now, while he played hide the weasel with some cow off the oval office. The man is human garbage. JMO.

Question: Is O'bama half black and half white?
Yes, he had a white Mama from Kansas so the other side of his family are white folks. I am so tired of hearing about Obama being the "first Black this and that" when he ain't BLACK....he is Multi-racial. And I would think he would play THAT card to bring over those that are concerned about a BLACK man being elected.

Bill Clinton was a disgrace to the Office of the Presidency, IMO! He was one of the worst that ever held the office. I can't believe that I heard on some news channel a couple weeks ago that a lot of people were saying that he was one of the best! What a Joke! If he had been doing his job, instead of "hiding the weasel"(as Dollfus so succinctly put it:smt023) we would have gotten Bin Laden & Hussein & we would not be in this mess!:smt086

I would rather be back where Reagan was in office. He was a good man & also a brilliant one. What a shame that he died from Alzheimers, as did his equally brilliant friend, the Great Charlton Heston. Now Heston would have made a GREAT President! He just didn't want to go that route.

No, I am not kidding. Charlton Heston said that "Affirmative Action is a load of crap!" He was a true patriot & loved his country & would do anything for it. You may not know this, but he was in the Air Force in WWII and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was all for protecting the Constitution, particularly the 2nd Ammendment that allows us to bear arms. You can bet the criminal element is going to have guns, don't you want to be able to have a gun to protect yourself & your family?

It would not have been for the gun laws. He was a good, honorable person. He was married to his ONLY wife for 64 years. That should give you an inkling of his character. He was a true Patriot. President Bush gave him the highest civilian medal that a person can receive in 2003.

Bill Clinton had the great fortune of inheriting a booming economy and the beginning of the dot.com era. The economy was going like crazy, online stock trading, new computer sales, booming this and booming that. He avoided major wars, despite the bombing of the World Trade Centers, the Marine barracks in the Middle East, and several embassies across the globe. We had a few scuffs here and there, and had a discraceful follow-up to humanitarian missions, which the military shouldn't be involved in, IMO. However, we mostly just lobbed cruise missiles at aspirin factories. When we were offered Bin Laden, Clinton turned him down... but hind site's 20/20, y'know?
The media loved Clinton, save for a brief moment during the Lewinsky days, but otherwise, they were 100% on.
I think that if we successfully end the war in Iraq without causing too much chaos in the wake (I don't see how that's possible, but we'll see), and focus our efforts on our country, then no matter who's president, we'll get a slow return to those carefree times of the 90's.

It's not the fact that Obama has/had a crazy preacher, it's the fact he claimed he wasn't crazy the past 20 years and just suddenly went all racist crazy on Hillary that one time. It's obvious and people have come forth and said that Rev. Wright has always had those anti-American views, but for Obama to say "oh this is not the man I've known for 20 years" and to cave under the pressure of the media and quit the church just shows what kind of character he has.
He's just too much of any empty suit and still hasn't proved to me he has any balls. (I really do believe Hillary had more balls than Obama ever will).

Richard Nixon was a good President. I doubt he would have carried 49 states in the biggest landslide victory in history when he ran for re-election if he was that bad. His "crime" was covering up the Watergate break-in. He never ordered it. Never knew about it until after the fact. Probably the best foreign relations president ever. Re-established diplomatic relations with China, who at the time, were poised to kick our butts. Ended Viet Nam was AS PROMISED. Never cheated on his wife, or at least, never got accused of it. Heh heh heh. Dems just love to bang on him because it's a victory for them for driving a Republican out of office. Unfortunately his legacy is Watergate just as Monica is Clinton's. JMO

The parties are so similar these days that most voters are forced to be one or two issue voters. There are a couple of things that McCain supports that I just can't get behind. Period. So, I won't vote for him. The Sugar Daddy is a social and fiscal liberal, but the thing that rings his bell is gun control (lifetime member of the NRA). So he's a registered Republican and that's the only issue he looks at when he votes.

The economy was going like crazy, online stock trading, new computer sales, booming this and booming that. There was hardly a dot-com boom in 1992. The internet hadn't really even "taken off" yet. AOL and Compuserv were the number one ways people were getting on the net and even then there wasn't even a fraction of the web users there are now. The dot.com boom didn't really hit until the mid-nineties, well into his Presidency.
Before Bill the country was in a recession.

What? Crazy Preacher? If he's a democrat, he's a crazy preacher. To anyone else he's a white hating racist who spews hate venom to stir up his congregation against whites. And Obama, by sitting there ingesting that filth is of the same ilk.
Ask yourself, if Wright was white you wouldn't call him racist? If the tenents of that church were white, you wouldn't call it racist. They are nothing more than members of a Black, White Arian Nation, Black Skinheads, etc. if you're honest with yourself.
