How Did Your Morning Start?

Well, let's see. I woke up at 5 a.m.. My eyes were matted together because I mowed yesterday...dang allergies. I could barely breathe....So, I hopped in the shower and for some reason I got a headache.

I got dressed and went outside to load up my Dad's lawn mower. I hooked the trailer to the truck and then tried to load the mower. It kept gettin' stuck on the ramp...I tried several times while singing kum ba ya.....after the 300th attempt I unhooked the trailer and just let it come up so the ramp would be flat....The lawn mower barely fits the trailer but I was successful.....anyways then I couldn't find my straps to strap it down. So I went out to the barn thinking I had put them out there and I stepped in a pile of dog crap. Nice huh? Well I then went and cleaned that off and then strapped down the lawn mower. I go back outside and then this guy comes from around the corner with a gas can wanting to borrow some gas.....how in the HELL do you borrow gas??????? HOW????

I gave him 5 bucks and pointed to the store. Then guess what...I stepped in dog crap AGAIN....now by this time I am pretty well pissed off. I am pouring sweat. I need to take another shower......anyways I just put on another pair of shoes....because I'm now 30 minutes late for work.

So I am goin' to work and at the 49/59 onramp I nearly meet my maker because of a dumbass in a Coca-cola truck and some prick in a little Suzuki samauri fighting for position to exit or some shit...anyways I had a very large road rage moment that somehow I kept contained to the innards of my pickup. Then my boss calls "Where are you at, your're late."

I said "I know, and if I try to explain to you why I just might explode because I am highly pissed off and my nerves are shot already this morning." He said "Oh, I'll see you in a minute then."

When I got here he was gone. WTF????????

So, this is just fair warning that I'm in a bad mood today. I'm trying to calm down. Maybe noway will bring me a pill or something to calm me down.:smt118

Woke up a little after 6, wondering why it was so light in the bedroom. That would be because it was a little after 6 and I'd slept through the alarm. (I'm blaming that on the boy) So, I stumbled out of the bed and into the living room to let the doggie out and feed her. Fed and water the cats, cleaned the litter box.

Then I decided that I could go back to bed for another 20 minutes. Set the alarm, crawled in the bed. Had just gotten back to sleep when I thought I heard the sound of the doggie sniffing...apparently I hadn't put the baby gate up and Cob was in the bedroom. I jumped up and ran to the spare bedroom to find that she hadn't been in the cat litter (good thing I cleaned the cat box) or the cat fud.

My head is killing me. So tired.

Well, when I got to the office I had the beejeezus scared out of me. I'm the first one in the office when our secretary is out (she's out this week). So I unlock the door... notice that all the lights are on, but figured someone just forgot to turn them off last night. As I'm about to walk in my office, I hear someone in the back of the building! I just froze- there shouldn't be anyone in here!!
Then the cleaning man pokes his head out. I musta been white as a ghost because he immediately apologized. He didn't realize we were on our summer schedule now (8-5) and was used to getting done before anyone got here.

But, now that my heart rate is back to normal... it's still an ok morning :)

He's the "stock" me and EStratton come from - 90 years and a half old. Until about 6 months ago, he was working his garden everyday, driving himself, primary caretaker for my totally invalid Mom (who is 87), and knew far more about what was going on in the world than me. The last six months have been tough - he's been in hospital three times, had pacemaker put in this last time, has no energy, rarely gets out of his pajamas, gets confused about medication and stuff. WWII vet, 44 years a railroad man, 1938 JCJC graduate, married 66 years. We've had cross words ONE time in 59+ years, and that was my fault. That's EStratton's "Papaw."

Mine's been easy so far. The dogs demanded to be let out at 6:30, which sucked since I was sleepy and didn't really have to get up until 9:00. But I went back to bed and, once my allergies calmed down from being around the dogs, dozed back off for another two hours.

I feel like shat today....soo frikken tired......I have to help a buddy out this evening...then I'm going home and going to bed.....

My morning this morning......

1. No breakfast, not even frikken toast. I cooked supper and washed the damnded dishes last night also. I even bathed Jr./jr. If I don't get wakened by some frikken grits and eggs in the morning I'm puttin' her arse on the road.

2. Got to work without a hitch. No maniacs on the road. Walked in the office and my boss started bitchin' so I told him it was Friday and to STFU and I shut my door.

3. I'm sooooo dam tired.
4. Still tired.

Got to bed around 2 last night. Woke up this morning at 6:30 with the kid and then went back to bed. Set the alarm for 8:30, but must have messed it up b/c I woke up at 9:20 with the kid bouncing on the bed. Shit! I had to be at a meeting at 10am at USM. So, throw some clothes on that seemed clean, took the kid to his grandparents house. About 1 mile from their house, I notice my car is leaning funny and I'm getting a lot of tire noise. Pull over and back down into this little side road that is abandoned. Clunk! Apparently there was a ditch there I didnt see and I caught the front bumper on it, but it was okay. Front right tire is flat. Shit! Tried calling the office where I'm having my meeting, but no answer. Get out the cig. lighter powered compressor and start airing up the tire. Make a few more calls to verify that I have the right number and finally get a voice mail, leave message saying I'm gonna be late. Tire airs up to 20psi, but I can hear it hissing. Throw everything in the car and go to USM. Tire is almost flat when I arrive. Made a call during the ride over to inform Chair that I'd be late. Meeting over at 11:30, go out to car, tire WAY flat now... air it up and head home. Changed tire in the garage with spare and this tire is toast. worn down and has so many cracks in it, I can't tell WHERE it's leaking from. Pathetic. I hate flat tires.

Well I opened my eyes in disbelief, my alarm was playing freebird which told me it was 6:30.. I turned it off with and re-set it for 8am. Well its 9:30 and I am behind on everything I promised myself I would do today but I am about to make my way downstairs and get this party started!

So far it's not so good. My tummy is upset. Due to that, I was almost late to work. *sigh* (I'm cute though, so perhaps it all balances out)

One of my dear sweet friends sent me a new coffee mug because I said I needed one with a lid and that fit my cup-holder. It's a fabulous pink thing that is spill-proof and supports breast cancer research. I can't figure out how to make it work though. The coffee goodness is inside it, and I'm not smart enough to figure out how to get it out. The little thingie on the lid says "open" but no coffee goodness comes out. :cry: (I fixed it...I took the lid off)

I had trouble getting to sleep last night; last time I looked at the clock it was 12:30. Just got out of bed a few minutes ago, ready for a cup of coffee. Then I realized I had to take a pill this morning and can't have anything to eat or drink for 30 minutes. 30 minutes!!! And I can smell the coffee...such a tease. At 7:13 my morning will perk up. :)
