Got an ad in the mail yesterday informing me that the Old Club Memories is back.
in the corner, it says 'Strictly for the Grown Folks, 25 and up only'.
In the middle it says 'We are Back and ready to party like we used to!'
Wow.
I mean, wow... that's some bad grammar there...
And what of the age limit? Is that legal? Can you just pick an arbitrary age to let people in?
I know someone on this board who is VERY happy this is opening back up at 1207 W. Pine St.
yeah, I won't be going anywhere near there.

Yes, that is allowed. In MS, clubs are private and can refuse service (or entry) to anyone they choose as long as it is not based on race, ethnicity, or gender. They get around age discrimination because most "ageism" occurs between employers and employees. There is no legal precident.

I know you people are big on the Vbookie stuff. Someone should start one up on how long they think it will take before the place is shut down.

No, we should have a vBookie on what time the cops are called out there!
Or how many arrests will be made on opening night!

1207 is currently the Sports Rock Cafe. That place sux. Their patrons park in my parking lot & leave Beer & liquor bottles strewn all over the place. Many of the businesses around here rope off their parking lots on the nights they're open, but the patrons just pull down the barricades. The police cruise by the place, but of course nobody is commiting vandalism when the cops are in sight.
