yes, we are the only dealer in the state with 2 in stock.

one is black on black, the other is white with tan interior-

http://cache.jalopnik.com/assets/resources/2008/02/2009_Nissan_Maxima.jpg

haven't driven it yet, so more to follow- as well as new pics of them close up.

there will be a myhattiesburg discount on these vehicles, so PM me for more info. they will be available only thru myself and no other salesperson.

btw- the wheels on that pic above are production wheels- 19" to be exact-

if your trying the nissan website to see what models etc they are, they are Maxima SV with navigation on both-

Leebo

They're different enough. The GTR is definitely a lot more aggresive looking.... And it doesn't have that stupid looking notch in the headlights. Blah for the Maxima, YAY for the GTR. Besides, the main appeal of the GTR is the performance more so than the looks. So seriously, are ya'll gonna be gettin one?

I wish they'd leave cars alone... or at least make minor changes. I've got the 05 Accord mentioned in another thread, and we've got an 06 black Maxima SL. Honda messed up the Accord and made it look like an old lady car for this year, now the Maxima looks like a cheap Dodge Charger.

I believe different people like different cars. I drive transport for Petro and have had the opportunity to drive several models and believe it or not I would rather drive the Versa than any of them and it gets great gas mileage. I had to come through Jackson Wednesday in some terrible weather with high winds and I thought the car, being that small, would go off the road but it held its ground while bigger cars were blowing all over. It has plenty of room inside and you don't sit so low to the ground like some small cars so it is easy to get in and out. Now CSG if you or Keith sell one I get a cut.lol

I think the new Accord looks WAAAAAAAAAAAY sexier than the previous model. The 2-door anyway. The 4-door is ugly as balls. And as for the Maxima.... :smt009

I have only been driving for them for about 4 months so I never had the pleasure of meeting him. My son Keith works there and I also know the used car manager so when they needed someone they called me as I used to do this a good bit. It's not steady and I have to be ready on short notice but I like it.

Hey, easy with the insults. I'd take a loaded Charger over a loaded Maxima any day of the week. A loaded Charger is significantly more expensive as well (not that it matters, but since you called it cheap). In fact, my dad is trying to sell his 06 Maxima loaded out with 44K miles for $18,500 obo if anyone is interested. He wants a Charger. :-D

Chargers are for poor people who want a sports car but can't afford a real one. They're hideous. The only American car I would ever even remotely consider owning is the corvette Z06, the new model... and it's still not attractive, but the performance is. still second rate.

i've seen a few maserati's around.. which are a true sign of class. no aston martins. a couple ferraris, which to me (along with lamborghinis) have been reduced to cars for tasteless lottery winners and trust fund babies.

Jaguar S-Type = Overpriced Ford :-D

You must be a pretty wealthy man. To me a SRT-8 Charger at $46K is far from a poor man's car. Also, many of the parts on the Charger come directly from Mercedes Benz. I'm not claiming a Charger to be a Mercedes, but the quality of the Charger is very good IMHO, and a nice loaded out one is far from a poor man's car. Just my $.02.

Which is why I am sporting the 2000 camry. It has less that 95k miles- why replace? 95k miles on a toyota isn't anything.

that jag was the year model BEFORE ford took over. it was still overpriced . they just don't make them like they used to (literally). jags now lose about 50, sometimes even 60 % of their worth after about 5 years.. the e-types are still selling for more than the brand new XKRs are selling, and they were made 30 years ago.

sometimes calling a car a "poor man's" car isn't about the price.. it's about the car itself.. like the chrysler 300. that pretty much was the same story as the charger for me. it started out as a car with great potential and within about a year the only people driving it were the ones who would put 22 inch rims on something that's meant to be a classy looking sedan. the charger isn't meant to do that i'm sure, but it went down the same road as the 300 and the dodge magnum. even the new bmw 3 series aren't very nice. the interior of those things is so plasticky and cheap looking that my mom cancelled her order on one and went with the new acura tl instead. god i just look at the new camaro and weep. terrible.

Ok, I'm with you now. You're right, there are a lot of "thugged" out 300's and Chargers, and lots of other cars for that matter. Of course, most of the ones you see that way are the very base model. Usually they aren't RT's with a HEMI, and I've never seen a SRT-8 thugged out except on Unique Whips on SPEED tv the other night. Dewayne Robertson of the NY Jets had a new Range Rover and Charger SRT-8 painted orange and thugged up.

I laugh at the Charger every time I see one.. It looks just like a glorified intrepid to me.. Its sad they even brought the name back for that car.

Okay, I went to the Nissan website to check out my detailed pictures. I'm not loving the new styling. It's better than the models out now, but I'm a fan of the older Maxima's (01-03). The interior of the 09 is a whole lot nicer though. I had planned on possibly trading my current Maxima in for the 09, but now I'm not so sure. Thanks, carsalesguy, for letting us know these are out now.

It has absolutely nothin in common with an Intrepid other than the Dodge emblem. It is a totally different car. The build of it is much more similar to a low end Mercedes Benz than a crappy Intrepid, and the performance is really impressing. A good bit of the design was done by the Mercedes people, and if you compare interiors there are lots of similarities.

Anyway, sorry to carjack your thread Carsalesguy!

I took a close look at the new Maxima yesterday. While it has potential to be a great looking car, it just doesn't do it for me. Front end looks too much like a Charger (didn't see that at first but now I do), and the Renault-like notch in the headlights just kill it.

I went with my dad out to Petro to see CSG. We drove the 2009 Maxima and I must say it is quite an improvement over the 2006 Maxima my dad currently has. I was very impressed with the car. I think it looks really sharp. I was behind one on Hardy Street yesterday and it looked really good going down the road. I really like the taillight set up on it.
