I grew up loving the outdoors and while I was in high school I was on track, at least with the courses I selected, to be a Game Warden/Forest Ranger. I'm not sure what happened, I still love the outdoors, but I'll be in the electrical business, till the end. Although I really enjoy what I'm doing, I would much rather be a Forest Ranger or Game Warden.

I wanted to be in law enforcement, just like my grandpa (and several other family members). But I also enjoyed writing a lot. I have been fortunate to do both things. I spent four years in law enforcement and I have been a writer for seven.

As a kid baseball player, as I got older a coach/teacher. If my business doesn't work out... I'll probably finish the rest of my college for history and become a teacher.

When I was little I always wanted to be a dancer... Funny thing is, I 've never even learned how to dance. I have only danced maybe 5 or 6 times in my whole life, but it is still in my soul and one of these days I will just have to take some lessons.

I wanted to be a writer. I still write, but some things just don't work out. In high school I wanted to be a carrier pilot. I thought there could b e no better pilot than a carrier pilot. I scored a 99.9 on the ASVAB (the first in Mississippi by the way "damn visual acuity test you mistake one C for an O and you don't get no 100)
Turns out my talent lies in drawing pictures. So, I've worked for various graphics &n printing companies. Very happily by the way. It' something I enjoy doing, It's something I enjoy doing & something I do well.
I think sometimes, at the end of the day, you just kinda fall into what you wer supposed to do.

I wanted to be a teacher.....When my oldest was 2 I was an assistant teacher and after a few years of that I changed my mind. Funny how I got talked into preschool education!!
Nah......I wouldnt change anything. I love working with children. I just have to remember its not their fault for their behavior. They learn from home or other influences.

I wanted to be a writer. Used to create these fantastic stories...scribbling them on salmon and green and blue and yellow paper from the shoe factory in town. When I was about six, the post lady came in to have a glass of tea with my grandparents (Grandpa used to deliver mail), and I was excited to have someone new to read a story to. She looked it over and crossed out my crayon words with her pen because I'd spelled them wrong. Didn't write again for a long time, and I'm not sure I ever really got over it. I don't think I've seriously attempted fiction since then.
Then I decided I'd be an astronaut.
Somehow, though, I wound up a teacher.

I do my best singing in the shower, but get really , when some one comes in. I don't think I'd be dancing in the shower though, but I was watching a pretty good movie yesterday "Legal Eagles" with Robert Redford, and he danced late at night when he couldn't go to sleep.

A wife, mom and school teacher. When I got in high school and heard almost all my teachers complaining about how they didn't make any money I changed my mind about teaching.

I had to talk to a teacher today who was complaining for that very reason. I totally understand her complaints but you have to LOVE your job as a teacher to take the low pay.

All I ever wanted to be was a Veterinarian. During my Senior year I actually planned to go to MS State and pursue it......then my parents decide to get a divorce as soon as I graduated from HS (after 36 year of marriage).
After that, it was all about them and their divorce battle and I went to live with my sister for awhile.
I have a great career now in a field I never intended to fall into, but I still think I missed my calling :(.

Well I have always wanted to help people. I wanted to go into social work but never did. Then I wanted to be a pilot but I am scared of heights. I wanted to go into the army but my oldest cousin went and when he got back from basic he looked me in the eye and said "Darlin you would never make a week of it." So I kinda figured that wasnt for me. So I fell into healthcare and I LOVE it. I dont have to handle the patients but I do get to help them understand their insurance, which is a pain in the arse.

I wanted to be a firefighter, then as I got a little older a mechanic, then a helicopter mechanic, then a diesel mechanic. Now I want to be a gunsmith or have a firing range with shooting instructors. I'd just about settle for any good job though.
Oh, kinda always wanted to be a bum but I can't seem to achieve that goal. Sucks to pay bills.

I really never had a goal when I was little. But I did enjoy making little roads in the dirt with my tonka toys. And even built little bridges by pushing sticks in the ground for the piling and laying other sticks on top for the bridge deck. None fell in that I can remember so maybe the real ones won't.
In the Sixth grade yearbook I wrote I wanted to own a city block's worth of real estate in Manhattan. I'll settle for Hattiesburg (or Seoul). I majored and worked in real estate, but I'm taking a diversion for a few years now.

From about 9 to 14 or so, I just knew I would be a Hollywood stuntman. I would "practice" by intentionally flipping my go-cart, jumping off the roof, building bicycle ramps of ridiculous proportions and jumping them, etc. I don't know how I never got hurt.

I really never remember saying it, but a little old lady that went to church with my grammy said that I always talked about being a mommy... simple enough, eh?

As for now, I just want to get finished with school!!!

I always wanted to be a teacher - I played school with all my dolls all the time. My aunt was a teacher so I got cool "teacher stuff" to play with - planners, old papers, etc. I even went to college and took elementary ed classes. But I got married young and started a family right away and finishing school just wasn't an option at the time. I even went back to school once but I wimped out - "It's too hard!!!".
I regret every day that I didn't finish... I really like my profession now but I'm not passionate about it. And that's my advice to everyone going into college... don't go into a field for the money - do something that you're passionate about... life's about being happy not making money.

LOL...told my dad I wanted to be a doctor when I was twelve. He had spent his entire adult life as a hospital administrator...he looked me in the eye and said "I will whoop your ass and disown you if you ever go into healthcare."
I'm getting a PhD now, and I rub it in his face every chance I get...
Told you I was going to be a doctor!

As a kid I wanted to join the Air Force and see the world. I have been stationed in Texas, Mississippi, Florida, Nevada,South Carolina,New York (twice), Michigan, Southeast Asia (twice), Enlgand (three times), Germany (twice), and Japan. I served a total of 15 1/2 years overseas out of the 23 1/2 years I served. I can honestly say I accomplished my wish and have a truely international family! I picked up a wife on my first tour to England and we have a daughter that was born in England on our second tour there and a daughter that was born during our first Germany tour.
