Toilet-trained chimp on the run in Calif. forest
LOS ANGELES - A 42-year-old chimpanzee who is toilet-trained and can eat with a knife and fork is believed to be at large in a Southern California forest after escaping his cage.
The chimp called Moe disappeared Friday from Jungle Exotics, which trains animals for the entertainment industry. The chimp wandered into a house next door, surprising construction workers who saw him head for a nearby mountain.
A weekend search in the San Bernardino National Forest 50 miles east of Los Angeles came up empty.

Omg thorn, there is still hope for Hendrix!!! This monkey will be his inspiration!!
Now that would have been a news worthy story if those constuction guys would have said they saw Moe go into a porta-potty and take a dump before he hit the woods.

I read the story last night... anyone read how the guy got his nose, testicles, foot, chunks of his leg, and but bit off by angry monkeys? That's horrible. I was scared to go to bed; might have crazy dreams about monkeys trying to eat me.
I watched a news thing like 48 hours last night about monkeys as pets. I always wanted a monkey until seeing that. They really are precious, but, still wild animals. They were saying that it is not if they will turn on their owners but when they will. I felt sorry for them after learning how they are torn away from their mommas. Bless their hearts-I guess all wild animals need to be left as just that-wild animals. They really were cute dressed like a little girl and eating their suckers and using spoons to eat. Just TTTTOOOOOOOOO precious.
