What relaxes and sets you at peace after a long day? We all know MH does, but what else helps? Music is one thing that helps me alot :) <3 music

Nope. I don't think I have been relaxed in a while. It is mostly anxiety that keeps me tense.

Reading.
Sleeping.
My favorite is alternating those two things...read a bit, nap a bit, read a bit, nap a bit. My cats lie on me when I read/nap...that's pretty relaxing.
Eating cookies and milk til I'm in a sugar coma is nice too. :kekeke:
I love walks at night too...that always makes me feel better.

I agree Pollyanna. There is nothing better than a hot bubble bath with a glass of cold beer or wine and soft music playing or a good book to read.
I also like long walks on the beach. I miss living on the coast. I would go walking late at night just me and the moon and the waves. So peaceful.

Surprisingly, bingo can be relaxing. Especially when you win $100.
But it is not nearly as relaxing as sex and laying out by the pool on a float with a strawberry daqiuiri...which is exactly what I will be doing today :-D

I've never found sex to be relaxing. A lot of good adjectives, but not relaxing. Perhaps she was thinking of the "afterglow". Fishing is relaxing. A good book is relaxing. Sleeping or some other form of unconsciousness is the most relaxing.

It's always hard for me to relax. In fact, everyone says I'm too tense. Music is good though. I have a Norah Jones Pandora station that usually works though (I wish I still had her cd but the crazy ex-bf is holding it hostage ). It plays other stuff like Sara McLachlan and Jack Johnson too. Otherwise, there isn't much else that helps except a nice back rub.

I need to find out where they do those. I have never had a massage before because it seems creepy to me to have a stranger touching me.
I gotta do something though... I can't have a drink, can't soak in a hot bath, can't can't can't ...aaaahhhhhhh :ohnoes:

BUT...
They all take a little extra effort. Too often, I opt for the easier out.
