Hey, I have a program that you pick your state, and then fill in some blanks and it makes sure it is legit in your state. We don't have any money, but we did it so that our kids would go under the care of who we wanted. Anyway, if you want to use it, you can. It's a lot cheaper than a lot of other services, and you just print it and take it to a notary.

Be sure to get complete a Durable Power of Attorney, not the one paragraph one. The one I am talking about covers everything from selling a car, banking, stocks, everything. Mississippi has a law now that if a person gets disabled, in a coma, anything resulting in them not being able to make decisions, anything he/she owns goes to a conservatorship. Even if your spouse owns it with he/she will have to go through the judge over the converstorship to pay a power bill. It's a standard form, you just put the names in, have it notarized or witnessed and a heck of a lot easier than the alternative. Of course, an Advanced Health Care directive is very important also. It has been a wonderful thing with my dad having lung cancer now. I just carry a copy and can do all his and mom's business and let them rest at home.

We dont have money either.... the only reason we are doing it now is so that our kids will be taken care of. I have one that I completed today and I think its good for MS.
