We ate Chicken Salad for lunch that I had mixed up yesterday in anticipation of no electric (our house is all elec) today We also ate pot pies last night since would not be able to cook them on a grill...everything else in the freezer(s) are grillable so will be doing that now for a while.

Apparently fresh cake is the thing to have at our house before/during a hurricane. My wife put one in the oven right before Katrina, and had about 5 minutes left to being done when the power went out. She just left it in the hot oven and it turned out fine.
Today - another cake, but this time the power didn't go out.

In honor of Honey, we had homemade rice krispy treats!!!!!
Been on Weight Watchers for 2 weeks now so even the "balonie" and chocolate milk sounds good....

Brownies! We'd made brownies the night before Katrina came...just to pacify the folks holed up over here that wanted sweets. Then, like 2 days before this one, I wanted brownies and made some. Didn't think about that was the same thing I was doing before Katrina. At least the power didn't go out. I'm sooo happy about that.

haha. NO. I eat bologna all the time, drink chocolate milk frequently. I know it was a strange combination, but I didn't have any chips, and I didn't wanna cook, and we were out of sweet tea. So...I just put it together. It was actually quiet yummie. lol

I have a habit of nibbling on thin pretzel sticks and washing them down with CC. The more CC I drink - the fewer pretzels I eat!
In the long run - once I pass out the wait for the storm doesn't seem as long! :-D

I've got a roast in the oven now and peas cooking.
Was planning on spaghettios and raviolis but since it didn't look like the power was gonna go out, decided to cook something.
