can anyone tell me how much better it really is compared to internet explorer?

I like it, I like the tab function, so that you don't have to open a new window. And I like it's security. Much better than Internet Explorer.

well i'm trying it out right now. seems like it is actually faster than IE. i love all the different functions and stuff you can get too! looks like microsoft is losing this battle! haha

it has its ups and downs. one disadvantage is that not all web designers take into consideration the different browsers so some things dont display the same or at all. i still use IE except for when i am testing a webpage i've done.

Firefox is the new standard simply because it adheres to W3C compliance the best. A page that loads correctly in Firefox, is a page that will load correctly in the future.
