AP - Pope John Paul II had difficulty breathing as he battled the flu and will spend a few more days in the hospital, the Vatican confirmed Wednesday, but it said tests showed his heart was functioning normally and the pope had rested for several hours overnight.

I amazed the Pope is still going. Flu can be VERY dangerous when you're at that age. Maybe he will get well and still have a few more years.

It is pretty amazing that he's still around considering his age. My first thought was that he won't be around too much longer. But, he must have $, so he can afford good medical attention and medication. Nowadays, you're health is almost directly related to how much money you have. Granted, rich people die of certain ailments such as cancer, but look at Magic Johnson. How long has he been sick, but he's still alive if I'm not mistaken. Most of us would have died a long time ago if we were in his shoes.
