AP - A 24-year-old former American Online software engineer pleaded guilty Friday to stealing 92 million screen names and e-mail addresses and selling them to spammers, setting off an avalanche of up to seven billion unsolicited e-mails.

spammers, they have no comparison in society. they should be outlawed and an organization set up to stop them.

Exactly. They're still too young to know the value of the dollar in relation to jail time. I would have laughed at $28K. Make it 75k, and it might be worth my time...
