They're still up to no good. They might lower fees on some things, but they'll cover their butts somewhere else to offset the lowered rates. Their momma's didn't raise no dummies...

nope, but that's why they get paid. They are almost a monopoly in the auction business though, they are set to get taken down.

The new fees were ridiculous so its good to see that they are trying to do something.

No, they're not almost a monopoly....they are one. There is no other auction site that compares. Yahoo suxz. Every auction does, besides them. Lots of new ones spring up every now and then, but they never survive. If ebay ever gets taken down, it would be because a millionaire decided to create a new auction site, and spent $$$$ marketing the heck out of it.

I have no idea who overstock.com is. I'll trust USM's opinion and say they suck too. Right now, I don't see anyone who can compete. It's kind of funny when you think about it. Ebay doesn't allow gun sales. So there's plenty of new gun auction sites up now. But they're pretty much dead. Ebay is real strict with adult material. So there's new auction sites taking a bite out of that market. But they're pretty dead. Heck, you can create a niche site from ebay's throwaways, and you still may not be successful. Go figure..

I tried Overstock.com and it was a week before I could even use there auction creation form. I was not impressed to say the least. I am an eBay powerseller, and was really hoping ANOTHER source of sales would come a long...not yet!

To me, eBay has been sliding for a while anyway. It's been taken over by the on-line stores(no offense Performance Park) and effectively killed the bargain hunting on rare and unusual items.
Besides the small, cheaper items aren't worth the listing cost to sell them there anymore. So I honestly don't care what they do at this moment. At least not until they get back to being what they once were.
