AP - Scientists around the world were scrambling to prevent the possibility of a pandemic after a nearly 50-year-old killer influenza virus was sent to thousands of labs, a decision that one researcher described as "unwise."

So let's say you have a killer virus that has killed over a million people in the past, literally. You just have to go and send it to THOUSANDS of different organizations and labs. "Unwise", is and "Under"-statement in this day and time of terrorism. I might feel a bit easier if it were only sent to a few places, but thousands.?.?. It just seems like way to much of this stuff is out there to be completely protected from terrorists. You know. Shouldn't there be an authority over what gets sent out to "thousands" of places. Especially when it's a killer virus? Seriously, you scientific geniuses. Think!!!

viruses are the scariest thing to me. A world like 28 days or 13 monkeys. I don't think anyone would want to do that, because there's a risk you might kill your own people too.

What was the one where Denero and Samuel Jackson was in it? They had to catch that monkey?

That was a good one. That crap will make you think.

That was Outbreak, and it was Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman.

My question is why were they keeping a 50 year old killer flu virus the first place? Why not destroy it when you find out it kills people.
