THE ARREST OF THE SUSPECT FOUND INSIDE THE VET. HOSPITAL WAS MADE BY A FORREST CO. SHERIFF`S DEPUTY, BUT WAS TOLD TO TURN HIM OVER TO THR HATTIESBURG POLICE BECAUSE IT HAPPENED INSIDE THE CITY. :D

THAT BUST WAS MADE BY AN EX SHERIFF`S RESERVE (WHO IS NOW FULL TIME) AND A CURRENT RESERVE THAT HAPPENED TO BE WORKING FOR A FULL TIME DEPUTY THAT WAS SICK WITH THE FLU. SORRY, I JUST HAD TO BRING THAT UP. I GUESS ALL THE OLD BLOG FINALLY GOT TO ME.

no they are not censoring the news, but when hattiesburg booked him in, it looked as if they made the arrest. i `m not blameing hpd. they just did what they were told. the call came in to the s.o. , the deputy that made the arrest just happened to be about one half mile away and took the call, within 3 minutes of the call, he had the suspect in custody before his back up arrived about 3 minutes later. the dispacher asked the shift captain if it was a hpd call or an s.o. call. he advised that the area belonged to hpd and to stand by until they arrived which took only a few minutes. from ther hpd took the suspect to lockup and booked him in. great job by both agencies.
