I hope everyone got to see the 6 oclock news today. Lee Jarrell and Betsy having a discussion. Then the Lee Jarrell Ad appears. Lee Jarrell attacking Betsy and lee Jarrell States in Ad HE WILL BEAT JOHNNY DUPREE. The Debate tommorrow night should be very interesting tune in

Hehe. Yeah, I saw that one.

Although I personally wouldn't have had an image of betsy on the left and a burning picture of me on the right. It was ok when at the the first of the message he talked about it.. but as the commercial ends.. he once again shows the picture of him burning.

That doesn't put in my head that betsy is attacking him.. that puts in my head that he is a loser (mentally speaking).

I think whoever designed that commercial really messed up.

I agree with USM designer about the ad, it does look like it was done quickly. I don't think negative ads are going to beat anyone though. Davis honed in on what every Republican wants though, despite the fact if you like the candidate or not, you at least want them to beat Dupree.

I think he will beat Betsy but i do not think for one moment that he will beat Dupree. nope dont think so.

I think that everyone is seeing what Denard Delgado has had to deal with (Betsy Rowell).

Saw davis at chesterfield's the other night. But never saw him shaking anyone's hands.

If I was running for mayor, I'd be as outgoing as possible everywhere I went, not just on billboards and TV ads.

Okay, enough is enough. It is one thing for all the negative talk about LJD's political record, but to attack his personal appearance is another. So he is fat. Isn't most of America? Who are you mean people? As for LAZY, he is the furtherest thing from it. He not only served his legislative term, but he drove home most every night to do something for his mayoral campaign. In between all of that, he has walked door to door across this entire city. He runs his own business! He has been doing all of these things for 3-4 months solid without one Saturday off. Okay, so he rests on Sunday to go to church and spend time with his family! If you don't know him, you shouldn't call him LAZY. If you knew him at all, you would feel stupid for saying that!
As far as the drunk thing goes, do you need his medical records from LSU eye clinic to believe that he has an eye disorder that he has battled for about 10 years now? Not sure the name of it, but he doesn't secrete enough tears? to keep his eyes moist.
I cannot dispute the dialect thing. I thought the same thing. He is from Seminary, but the great thing about that is that he has never tried to act like he is not. (By the way, I hear Betsy is from Sanford, would you have ever thougth that?) He is a good ole boy who is often too honest for his own good. So, in my opinion, if it came down to honesty that is not stated so eloquently, or a bold face lie that is stated with the most proper and pronounced english (or threatened italian) there is, I'll take "biness" any day.

Well, after reading Closetomyheart's post, I think all you Rowell/Hattiesburg First supporters ought to be ashamed of yourself. I have never seen more of a mean-spirited campaign then the one Betsy Rowell and her Hattiesburg First folks have waged against Mr. Davis. Not even from a Democrat! I guess that's why people call Betsy the "Hillary of Hattiesburg"!

I agree! How old are these people on here? I think she may have possibly hired elementary students instead of college students to post for her! They remind me of those who picked on the "nerds" in elementary school! Those were very distasteful posts by Reality and usm_designer! Just like Betsy.....Nothing good or positive to say to help her campaign! So, bring out the TRASH (OR TRY, IF YOU WILL)b/c that's obviously all that she has to fight with....oh and of couse all of that $ backing her (or lack there of...so I hear)!
