I think you did a very good job Walt. I could tell you were a little nervous and had a couple of mistakes but I think everyone knew what you were talking about. I agree with you on just about all of the issues discussed. I think it is time to breath some new life into Hattiesburg. I appreciate the fact that you have run a clean campaign. That says a lot about your character. I also appreciate you coming here and asking for feedback. That tells me you really care. Good Luck! You have my vote!

I have gotten to know Walt over the past couple of months and I have to say that I think he would do a really good job as mayor. I have said before, Walt has actually taken the time on many occasions to talk to me and explain his plans for mayor. I have also tried to talk to Betsy about her plans but I have gotten little more than a handshake and a quick brush off. If I can’t get Betsy to give me the time of day when she is running for mayor do you really think she is going to care what I have to say if she is elected. I know Betsy and I was a supporter of Betsy but she lost my vote because of the way she treats people. I don’t know how you can say that Walt doesn’t know what is going on. I think if you would take the time to talk to him about his platform you would see that he has a very strong grip on what is going on.

No Reality I am not Walt Coker. I have only known Walt for a couple of months but in the time that I have known him he has been very respectful. I am not going to try to defend anything that he has done in the past. I did not know him then. But I will say that we have all behaved badly at times. That doesn’t make him a bad person.
About his son; Well I don’t know anything about that but I am sure that I have done some things my father isn’t very proud of also but I could never say that it was my fathers fault. I do appreciate your interest in my voting choice and I assure you that if Betsy wins the primary then I will be supporting her. She just isn’t my first choice.

Well I have known Betsy for about 5 years but I can’t get her to talk to me and I live by her. I feel like she is giving me the cold shoulder. Now Otis is great. He goes out of his way to talk to me. Maybe if Betsy would be more out going like Otis I wouldn’t feel like the red headed stepchild. My point is that Walt goes out of his way to talk to me and has worked hard to earn my vote. Betsy acts like she doesn’t even want my vote.
I don’t know anything about Walt’s sexual preference and to be honest I really don’t care. I don’t think that it has anything to do with his ability to run City Hall.
I know you are just worried that I don’t know him well enough but I can honestly say that I have gotten to know him better in the last 2 months than I have Betsy in the last 5 years. But if you are still worried about it then I will promise you that when I cast my vote for him I will wear protection.

I think you are doing a good thing Mr. Coker. Anyone can sit around and complain, but it takes guts to get up and actually run for a position. When someone runs, everything in their past is brought up and focus is taken off what they hope to get accomplished if they win the position. I hope you do well in the election.

And I know that everyone else is probably thinking i'm a supporter of Mr. Coker, but I'm not even registered to vote in Hattiesburg. I'm registered in my home town an hour and a half away.

and by the way, you dont have to be a good speller to be an elected official, just ask Dan Quayle, haha

As far as sexual preference's.. i dont know all the story and i dont care. But i actually have friends that have a "different" sexual pref. than me. Do i want that person to lead me? no.

Just my opinion though. Probably falls into the whole "religion" category.. and we all know where that will go if it gets started. So i'll just leave it at that.

As far as spelling.. well.. i type fast and i dont check my spelling on here. If i make mistakes.. sue me.. think i'm stupid.. i dont care.

I personally hate i missed the debate last night. I am always at work when it happens.
