Why does my time show up as an hour earlier than it really is?

Actually, we are GMT -6 hours which is Central Standard Time. It's the server that's not. The server is actually in EST so it's posting according the the server time. I'll change it in the admin. All user's profiles should say GMT -6, which is correct. This will be a non-issue once the software is upgraded tonight.

Ahhhhh! Now its back to the old time Oh well If it will be fixed tomorrow I guess that is ok... :wink: Now about my hub dollars...

The times are still wrong.

And while we're at it, how about editing the smiley text file so that when you do a mouseover it tells you what the smiley is?

you change your time in the profile. Just add or subtract whatever you need to. It's correct on my computer. The smiley text file thing will take a lot more work than just adding some code, the smilies don't all come with descriptive names.

So you can't set the board time? The BBS I run allows you to do this, although it is a different kind.

As far as the smileys, you can't download smiley paks that already have the description code? That's how I did mine, although I did have to change a couple, but not all. If this board uses .pak files I could send you the ones I have, which are a lot like the ones here.

No, I can't set the board time, I can only set the offset. The actual board time is EST, while we are CST. All of the imported users (about 110) got their offset right at -1. All new users are offset at 0. Whatever I change it too, someone is going to be off.

As far as the smileys, I can't use pak files on this board.
