well, I'm one of the few eagle fans that hope they don't go 11-0 because then we'll have Bower for even longer. Although, if I'm right about Bower, they'll never go 11-0

I tend to think 6-5 or 7-4. They'll lose to Alabama , Houston and NC State on the road and possibly UAB. Memphis will be tough at home.

I am a huge Eagle fan so I can say this:
Our team will NEVER go 11-0 with our without Bower. We are not getting the players who are used to winning on the big level. I was in Nebraska last year... that was awesome... I really thought USM would do something and then a few weeks later... a blow out at home by the Bearcats. We can't play like that and be a national power.

USM does quite well, honestly, considering the recruitment disadvantages it faces -- a 33K seat stadium that often isn't full, playing in a mediocre conference, being often overshadowed by Ole Miss and State, etc. Bower is an excellent coach, and is a loyal coach. He could have left long ago for greener pastures but has chosen to stay in Hattiesburg. I have to respect that. Tuberliar certainly didn't exhibit that sort of loyalty.
