I asked about how to change user names but didn't get an answer so i thought I would try to create a new account and get rid of the old one.
I registered a new user name with a new email address but have not gotten my verification email. its been less than an hour but I thought it took a very short time to get it. Should I wait longer? I messed around with my new email account at about the same time as registering here so I think I might have messed something up and missed the mail.
Also if I get the new user verified how do I delete this account that Im using now?
thanks

You can resend the verification email. Also, make sure to check your spam settings on your email box, sometimes your email provider will throw the message away.

I looked everywhere in my usercp and can't find any way to resend the verification email. I'm not sure what this is anyway - I thought that the forum software automatically sends me a mail when I register? If so I never got it.
I'd like to get rid of the cyberjaycee account and use this one instead. I can see all the messages and my uer name shows at the bottom as newest member, but I can't post in most of the forums under this user name.
I don't have any filters on that email account, nor does the mail server as far as I can tell. I'll look at the server one more time to make sure.

The term I should have used is activation email. I never got one as far as I can tell.

I'm going to send you an email to the email address for this member. Just reply to it and I will verify you.

Thanks. Whatever you did, that fixed it.
Howe do I go about deleting the cyberjaycee account?

I will have to delete it manually

Would you do that? Do you need some sort of verification?
I just wanted the user name hubcap for personal reasons that I'll tell later, that's the only reason I want to change. I don't need the cyberjaycee name anymore since I got this one.
Thanks.
