We saw this movie over the weekend at a friend's home. This is a good example of a movie where the trailer didn't do it justice. I remember seeing the trailer and not being the least bit impressed and have never desired to see the movie.

After watching it, I do have to say it was very enjoyable. A great family film.

Basically the plot surrounds two brothers who keep pretty much to themselves. It looks to be set in the 1950's or so. Their great nephew comes and spends the summer with them. The story unfolds and will explain the brothers past and how they accumulated their money.

It's a nice film and since it's been out for a few years should be a cheap rental. Get the DVD version because apparently they reshot the ending because it didn't test well and the original ending is on the DVD.

This was a great movie! If you have kids I'd consider it a must-see. Even if you don't have kids it is very entertaining. You'll laugh, you'll cry...

Just for the entertainment value I'd give it a 5.

where is the link now to start polls? I was almost convinced they'd been abolished with the upgrade.

We have Secondhand Lions....and it is a pretty good move....my wife and daughter love it.

When you do new thread it's at the bottom under addtional options (below submit reply and all). When you hit submit it'll take you to the screen to do the poll question and choices.

I've seen the film and forgot all about it. I even have the DVD. I'll get it out and watch it again after your post. Thanks, Lylabean.

Robert Duval is a man's man! Grizzled, but tenderhearted.
