just returned from an emd meeting. every agency was involved. things are lined up to handle evacuations from the south. as of now, the family y in h-burg and the multi-purpose arena on 49 will be open starting a 3pm tomorrow. there are more shelters becoming avabile and i will put them out as soon as i get the fax. you can also contact babs falk with the red cross at 582-8151 for a list.if the storm stays on its current track, we will see 40mph winds, but 50 miles to the east they will see 100mph winds. if the storm moves just a few degrees west, then we can see 100mph winds. go to the ha and print out local emergency numbers and info. during the evacuation, if you want to travel east or west in h/b, you will have to use w4th and 7th as hardy will closed a certain points. listen to local radio and tv broadcast. comcast will be on ch11(i think thats what they said). the media is supposed to inform the public on road closures and why. the large influx of travel will more than likely be seen later tonight, and will only get worse throughout the day tomorrow and monday. i will try to keep a current update.
