I saw this one last weekend. I am not a big science fiction fan, so I didn't love this movie. I thought it was Ok. Not the summer blockbuster I had expected. My husband liked it more than I did so maybe it is more a guy movie. I dont know, I just find myself less and less impressed with the movies coming out lately. I give it 3 out of 5.

hahaha I wish. I may give better reviews if I did. I have a tough time shelling out 7 bucks for a movie these days. and believe it or not movies here in Hattiesburg are on the cheap end of the spectrum...

Visually it was awesome. Not only the special effects, but just the way the tripods rose up out of the ground and started marching... wow. Plot-wise, not so much. I thought the whole thing about the tripods being buried for a million or so years pretty silly (why not take over the planet then? And why hadn't we found any of them yet?), and why did that camcorder still work? Why did Robbie survive?

It was okay, but should have been better. 3/5.

Agreed, the movie was very good visually but pretty poor in the storyline dept. There were many gaps and inconsistencies throughout the movie. That didn't necessarily make it unenjoyable. We enjoyed the movie but just wish that the storyline had been a bit more developed.

It sucked and the story line made no sense ......... best part about the movie was the graphics.

I have to agree with this post. Why bury the tripods in the first place? I think the dinosaur's would have offered little resistance.
