I think HA just creates these polls to just get us to come to their website. The last one about Wynn and politically motivated position changes was overwhelmly against Wynn, but we never see any real results. The headline tomorrow could be "Wynn fires officers who voted against Dupree", and I really don't think anything will be done. Either the city doesn't care, or they are that much in support of Dupree.

True... I've come to realize unless people are personally affected, they don't care.

I wish there was a way for the City Council to request a full background report on Chief Wynn, with the report conducted by an independent investigative service and then released to the public.
If his training at the Department of Public Safety qualifies him for the job, I think every one would feel a lot better about him and many critics (of both the Mayor and the Chief) would be silenced.
If the report reveals as truth some of the rumors one hears about Chief Wynn's record at the Highway Patrol, we need to know that. Again, if there's nothing to the rumors, many critics would be silenced.
Seems to me the City Council would want all the information before them--and the public--because they are the ones who will be held ultimately accountable for his reappointment.
