Aaron,
Is it possible to post an image from a local computer and not from the internet?

that's a good question. I don't see it anywhere, but I'll do some research and see if it can be enabled somehow.

I have it enabled on all forums except this one, that's the reason I couldn't find it. If you click add reply, you should see a "Manage Attachments" button.

Aaron,
I need to re-ask Tully's question about uploading graphics to be inline with the message ... like what's going on in the 'Where in Hattiesburg?' thread. What's the process?
I was going to to a test as a reply here but don't see the Manage Attachments options active. I do see it active in some of the other forums. I'm familiar with the software you're using for this forum. Typically, using Manage Attachments to upload a file (text or graphic) makes it an attachment to the message and not inline. What's the trick for uploading a graphic and making it inline? :scratchch

The pics I put in the "where in Hattiesburg" thread I had uploaded to my webspace and did a link to it..I didn't upload it to myhattiesburg...didn't know that was a feature.

Thanks, lylabean. That's what I thought ... but was looking for a more straightforward way. There is an upload feature. It seems to be implemented on some of the forums and not on others. You'll find it in the Additional Options section below the message area. But I think it only uploads as an attachment to the message and not inline.
Great idea for the Where in Hattiesburg? thread. I have a great picture that would be interesting. Hope you won't mind if I do a little "me too" and post the challenge. :smt001

I just played around with image upload. In the "Where in Hattiesburg? Thread_2" thread (Off Topic), I initially used a link to a file saved on the Web, like Lylabean suggested. Worked fine.
I went back and edited the post using the Manage Attachments option rather than the link. After selecting and uploading the attachment, it appears inline in an Attached Images box. Looks like a good way to handle graphics in forums where Manage Attachments is active.

yeah, attachments can be made in all other forums except this one. The reason being, guests can post messages in this forum, so you could potentially get some pictures posted here that no one wants to see, if you know what I mean.

Thanks, Arron. I had seen the Manage Attachments option but didn't realize it attached inline ... until I tested it ... duh! Now I've got it. :scratchch

Another image posting question:
It is apparent that the site will only allow a certain volume of images to be posted directly from a local PC, per member. I need to go back and clean up some of the images that I posted to threads that are now dead. Aaron, what is the easiest way to find those threads that I have posted to? Is there function in the User CP or elsewhere that will allow me to find them easily?

Yep. You must have found the Attachement link under User CP. :smt001
