Saw this movie last night. Except for the stale popcorn, watered-down Coke, antsy kids in front of us and the occasional cell phone ringing it was a pretty enjoyable experience.

I'd give it a 4 just for the entertainment value and because the FF was one of my favorite comics. If you're not a fan of them then you may not enjoy it as much.

The story line is pretty much right out of a comic book, nothing exceptional. The effects were very good, which is expected nowadays from this sort of movie.

I thought Michael Chiklis did a believable job as Ben Grimm (The Thing), as did the guy who played the Human Torch (don't know his name). Even though Jessical Alba looks good, I wasn't impressed with her performance nor with the guy who played Reed Richards.

But the movie was pretty much just like the comic. The Thing is the one person who just about everyone empathizes with in the comics and this was also true with the movie. The Torch also played a fairly big role, but the others were more or less supporting roles.

Good family fun with a good moral of good vs evil. Good wins.

Is this movie ok for kids? I dont know what it is rated but I am just wondering about language and sexual content. I am assuming there is a fair amount of violence but otherwise what is your opinion (I've got a 9 year old)

I didn't see anything objectionable that a 9 year old shouldn't see. There were a few violent scenes where the bad guy killed a few people, but it's pretty much the same thing you see on TV. There was one particularly gruesome scene where the bad guy killed someone in the parking garage so you may want to watch for that one.

I don't remember any foul language at all, but I generally don't remember those things unless it's unusually foul.

No sex, just boyfriend/girlfriend kind of flirting with a couple of kisses. Oh, and the Torch flirting with every girl in the movie.

Really, it was just like the comic book.

We went to see this tonight and I have to agree on the four stars. It was good and I thought the characters were true to their comic book personas. (or what little I've read of the Fantastic Four in comic books)

Now me and hubby are waiting for the first cross over..hehe..maybe a fantastic four/spiderman movie.
