Saw this movie last night. Except for the stale popcorn, watered-down Coke, antsy kids in front of us and the occasional cell phone ringing it was a pretty enjoyable experience.
I'd give it a 4 just for the entertainment value and because the FF was one of my favorite comics. If you're not a fan of them then you may not enjoy it as much.
The story line is pretty much right out of a comic book, nothing exceptional. The effects were very good, which is expected nowadays from this sort of movie.
I thought Michael Chiklis did a believable job as Ben Grimm (The Thing), as did the guy who played the Human Torch (don't know his name). Even though Jessical Alba looks good, I wasn't impressed with her performance nor with the guy who played Reed Richards.
But the movie was pretty much just like the comic. The Thing is the one person who just about everyone empathizes with in the comics and this was also true with the movie. The Torch also played a fairly big role, but the others were more or less supporting roles.
Good family fun with a good moral of good vs evil. Good wins.
