Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

We just returned from seeing this movie. Im not sure how to really describe it other than it was along the same lines as the first one. A little bit strange. The older kids I went with seemed to get it more than the younger and it was a little slow in parts. Johnny Depp is strange as usual but that is part of the movies charm. THere are some really good lessons hidden in the movie if you can understand the oompa loompas songs (which there are alot of). I give it 3 stars but would not recommend it for kids under 5.

Peoples, let him tell you. Wynn saw this movie & thought it was pretty aiight. There were more than several aspects of the original that were better though, but it kept Wynn entertained for a few hours....and hungry...."gimmee them popping corns Friar Fairly."

i was terrified by this movie as a kid...

The new one is not as scary for children as the first one, that included the snakes coming out of mouths in the chocolate river tunnel and the worry that Charlie and his uncle would be cut to shreds in the ceiling fan.

I thought it was a good update, and whoever cast Johnny Depp hit the nail on the head...
