My best friend's bf cooked dinner for us... we had grilled shrimp, grilled tenderloin, mashed potates (homemade- not box), fried squash, french bread, & sauteed mushrooms. I'm stuffed!! It's a house with 3 boys.... the bf always is there and the other 2 work off shore, but they have opposite 2 week shifts. But yeah- they always feed us good.

Isn't it a blessing when your hubby or bf is such a good cook? My hubby does alot of our cooking (I usually make the veggies and casseroles) He grills the meats, makes sketti and the crab cakes etc.) He even helps with cleaning up! YES, I am blessed! Our biggest problem is trying to decide what to make...seems we always have the same thing....no matter how hard we try and change the menu.

Oh no, Lips...I got one of these beauties as a wedding present from my best friend. It's like a George Foreman type deal and you can press and grill sandwiches of all varieties without all the flippin'....I think I've used it twice in almost five years of marriage....But it's great.

pizza... barely edible... and they got the order wrong.
Some rice / corn / cheese thing my Mother invented (maybe), English peas, cornbread, country potatoes, pork chops, sweetened tea and the view from a porch overlooking 3 weeks of rebooting, relief, thankfulness and hard work.

Porkchops, rice & gravy, fried okra, squash & onions, unsweet tea. Then a little slice of Baby Bro's wedding cake with pistachio almond ice cream. They took the top layer of the w.cake out of the freezer for the one-year anniversary this weekend. It was a little dry, but tasted good.

Just a hamburger that was o.k. but nothing to write home about.
I know what you mean...we had home-made burgers too and the left over potato salad...it was filling...but NOT really something I wanted. I am to the point I want something and just don't know "what" it is...nothing is sounding or tasting good the last week or so.

I fixed my famous Chinese 'stuff'. It's like stir-fry strips of beef with various bell pepper and onion strips over rice with an oriental 'gravy' to go over it. It's good.......
We had homemade burgers tonight and they were real tasty. Not on the grill but pan-fried. Surprised myself on that one.

Baby Bro and his wife grilled some chicken breasts, made Emeril's coleslaw that tastes a lot like Corkie's, and those mashed potatoes with the bacon, cheese, green onion, etc. in them.
