I know under even our American Federal tax code you can give up to $10,000.00 and it not be subject to taxation to either the recipient or the giver. Why then is it that when I decided to give $25.00 in hub dollars as a gift to someone on here, I was subject to a four percent tax? Was this designed by someone from France? Being taxed for my own goodwill...that reeks!! lol.
