This time of year there are not many options for television. That fact notwithstanding, what is your favorite TV show?
I like mostly crime dramas such as CSI, NCIS and Numbers.

reruns of Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, starting to like 2 and a half men, desparate housewives (something about Teri Hatcher), and of course Dr. Phil

2 and a half men is pretty good, as is Raymond. I am not a huge fan of most of the sitcoms today. I love the older ones like Seinfeld & Cheers.

Yea, we have gotten quite addicted to that one. Even to the extent of watching reruns on the GSN.

I love the Amazing Race too!
Also like the CSI's, Alias, Desperate Housewives..not really into sitcoms much..they just seem stale or something missing from them like comedy...:-D

I've been watching the old Amazing Race shows on GSN too. Kimberly, go for it!

I work so ridiculously hard, that I don't often get to watch television, or at least network entertainment programming. I do frequently tune in O'Reilly, Hannity and Colmes and On the Record on Fox News.
I think it has been several years since I have actually watched a network show on a regular basis.

The Family Guy, Malcolm in the Middle, Mythbusters, Monk, Reno 911, Battlestar Galactica, The L&O series, The Tonight Show.
I wish Battlebots would come back on.
I hate all those coroner-type shows. I just don't care too much about seeing people sliced up.

Seinfeld, The Apprentice, and I seem to end up watching a lot of those reality shows unless they are blantantly stupid.

Me too Aaron! I get sucked into a lot of reality shows...except if they are on Fox or about finding a husband/wife. Those just don't appeal to me.
Lynn
My favorite two shows are Alias, Sapranos and Charmed.
Than i like: angel, buffy, 7th heaven, glimore girls, friends, and dead like me.

Quality on TV? Never. However these shows are the closest you can get:
Arrested Development-ingenious comedy, screwball one minute, sophisicated the next..
after an episode or two it's wildly addictive. Easily, the best comedic ensemble on TV
today.
Deadwood-brilliant Western drama, like I always say it's (esp.the brilliant Season 2 just
completed) "Shakespeare as directed by Peckinpah...fascinating characters and
blistering story lines. Caution: don't watch if you are offended by vulgar language
Rescue Me-although this season has suffered from some mechanical plots and the
drawing in of too many characters..Denis Leary still provides this great drama with
riveting pieces. Season One is available for rent now.
30 Days-the best reality show in a long while. Morgan Spurlock does it right by making it
entertaining and thought provoking..always watchable, sometimes twice..
Entourage-HBO's new comedy franchise has really taken off during its second season.
The first season has its moments, but this one has been one wild ride..and there's
much more to come.
So long to Six Feet Under (great drama that got too soapy), Will and Grace (great comedy that lost its edge and should have stopped three years ago)...and the sitcom disappears with Everybody Loves Raymond, one of the great comedies of all time..that like Mary Tyler Moore, M*A*S*H, Seinfeld and All In The Family will live on in reruns forever.

Why do women like Alias? I'm routinely forced to watch it, and can't stand that they pretend to be real, but live in an imaginary world where a computer virus affecting 20 million computers can be fixed with a simple keypress.

court tv(at night) history channel, a/e, learning channel(if they are not tearing up someone`s house and THEY DON`T KNOW ABOUT IT). how about build a bike or a car without all the made up fighting. if you want to survive, get them to drop you off on an island with just a knife, and come back in 30 days and see who is left. getting voted off is so lame. military channel is good, so is the travel channel. hey, lets play like we are all rich, and see how many of the women on here want to marry us. duh, like that makes for a great show. don`t get me wrong, i love tv, and i watch a lot of it, but face it folks, 99% of air tv is stupid and i would rather watch grass grow. there are only two news channels worth watching and that fox and msnbc, and somtimes they get to crazy for my taste. i guess i`m just screwed up huh. where are all the old family value shows anyway. i guess tv is not aimed at the older generation like me. dangit, i still like old b/w movies. i love to see the big earth movers and cranes working. i loved the show HANDS ON HISTORY. the host was dorkey, but i liked to see how things were made. i do like DEADWOOD, but sometimes i have trouble understanding all those five dollar words they use. now the 4 letter ones i understand real well. this just m/o all rebuttals will be considered. thank you for your time. hope i didn`t offend anyone.

Yeah I wish computers worked the way they do in TV shows...esp CSI...they'll do 3D reenactments in just a few minutes...it'd be more real if they said "ok..now we have 5 hours of rendering before we the animation will be ready.." :-D And boy can their computers search 5 or 6 databases for a fingerprint! It just takes a matter of seconds. What about showing Windows crashing every once in a while? Let's keep it real...hehe
I do enjoy Alias though and my husband enjoys it too. I hope the new season starts in September and they don't make us wait until January again! That was very uncool...

Couple of quick things.
Why is TV called a medium? Because the content is very seldom rare or well-done.
Americans spend about 11% of their time watching TV, from a poll I just saw yesterday. It's the third most thing done after working and sleeping.

We really got into Lost last season. It is a pretty original show, but all of the mystery and unanswered questions drives me nuts.

Now Tully come out of the closet, come clean and lets cut to the chase.
You know you have never watch Seinfeld, the Reverand know that you like Will & Grace.
For me it’s Good Times or the Jefferson’s, with an occasional view of The Prince of Bel-Air.
No Two and a half men will grace my television set, watch Raymond I just do not care.
What’s up with those Desperate housewives? You call that a quality television show?
If it was up to the Reverand, I would call it something like Desperate Hoe’s.
You people should clean up you viewing preference. And come clean with all of that trash.
Just turn on channel 29 for BET, and those others networks you should pass.
