Just because 'm in Yankee-land doesn't mean it doesn't get hot up here. After enduring heat indexes ranging from 103° to 113° the past several days, a cold front came through last night. We got some much-needed rain, although it wasn't near what we needed, and the temps dropped. It's all of 70° right now, with a high today of only 75°. I've got the AC off, windows open and a cool breeze blowing through. Hopefully this front will keep moving south and give all of you some relief too.

Oh a breeze and 70 degrees sounds lovely! :-D

I remember going to DC a couple of years ago in June and was surprised how hot it was. Guess the deep south doesn't have a monopoly on high temps.

The C-L reported today that a 70 year old Mount Olive man died yesterday of heat exhaustion.
