One of mine came to mind today while I was driving:
I was on Hwy 11 this evening and there was a car beside me (on the right) and a car in front of me, and they were going exactly the same speed. Neither would speed up, nor would the ignunt one ahead of me move over, so I couldn't pass!
People who ride along in the left lane in their own little word need to have their tires shot out. :smt070 hahahaha!
Ok, let's hear some of yours........

Ok here is one of my pet peeves.
Not filling up the ice trays when they are used. Ok it really doesn't apply to my everyday life now cause i have an automatic ice maker in my freezer but when I was a kid my brother would always use all of the ice and not fill up the trays so there wouldn't be any left for me. That use to drive me crazy.

Well, the driving in the left lane is definitely one. People who can't make up their mind how fast they want to drive is another, especially on the interstates.
Misuse of the words their, there, and they're. Misuse of its and it's.
General butchering of the English language.
Aspiring for mediocrity.
I don't get too bent out of shape over much of anything, though.

watching 5 cars continue through the light after it turns red. and people who pull into the middle of the intersection and wait until the light turns red and then turn. 3 cars pull up at the same stop sign, 1 goes, they all go. i guess the first one stopped for them all.

A pet peeve of mine is when myhattiesburg goes done like it did for a few hours yesterday morning. This caused mass confusion amongst many of us I'm sure.

oh yeah, like Hawkeye I also hate weak/stale coffee, that should be against the law. I also get irritated when PBS/MPB only shows interesting shows when they're asking for money, and then they ask for money during the morning hours and the kids start crying because they're favorite shows aren't on. Thank goodness for TIVO.

My biggest pet peave is seeing people, particularly elected officials, make significant decisions without thinking through the big picture and the long term effects of their decisions.
I also hate telemarketers...I am starting to get calls from them at work now and it bugs the stew out of me.
My final pet peave is going into a store with plans to spend and getting poor service or no service at all. It seems that with a significant portion of Hattiesburg's economy dependent on retail and service that there would be a higher emphasis on quality customer service.

I agree with many of your pet peeves so if I sound repetitive, forgive me.
The Hwy 11 thing reality was talking about, absolutely outrages me. I call it "policing" the road. People who drive below the spend limit in the left lane on the interestate for no reason, drive me bonkers. Hwy 11 was not torn down for people like them. I'm not above honking or flashing my lights at them..
Finding empty icetrays is the freezer is another one. Always brings forth a good sigh at best.
Disturbing me when I'm reading a good book or watching the 10 pm news.
Clients who want to call me on my cell before 700 am. or after 10 pm.
Politically, public officials who mess up and don't show any sense of apology for repentance. Chuck McRae still galavanting around Jackson bars months after his first DUI arrest comes to mind. Lamar County Justice Court Judge Larry McPhail's not coming forward with his Judicial Performance investigation during the '03 campaign or apologizing publicly for the misdeeds he was found guilty of by the Commision to this day, also does. And Tully's mention of those who don't see the big picture or have a long range vision as well.
Ole Miss falling just short in every sport imaginable, whether it was 2003 against LSU or against Texas in the Super Regional last month.
There are others trust me...but I"ll put them in another post

before i even get started,I`M A SMOKER,so there it is. i know it`s a bad habit and it`s not good for me. well, i know it leaves smoke smell on everything, clothes ect: but what i hate, even when i`m 50 yards away from everyone they still look at me like i`ve got the plague. they frown, roll their eyes, put their hand over their mouth and nose. come on give me a break. some of these same people are#1 folks that gave up smoking(bless them) or #2 folks that just want to give a rash of s--t, but will go to the bars looking for women/men and it don`t bother them. i can`t smoke around them, but they can dip and chew and no one seems to mind. try sitting down to eat, now i`m not talking about some high class joint, and bubba or billy ray is next to you spitting into a cup or bottle.:smt118

Some of these silly threads keep saying "Last Page", but it never is. The voting keeps going on and on and on when the Foxx has already won twice. This place is starting to look like Florida with all the hanging chads.:smt119
I've noticed some weird things with the forums, too. Like topics that are flagged as not being read, when they are. And I saw one recently that claimed there were 3 pages when there were only 2.

One of my pet peeves is people who don't think the rules apply to them. At work we have a system for putting in computer requests but not everyone follows it...so very frustrating..
