Can anyone tell me where in Hattiesburg you can buy a pair of good quality sunglasses like Ray Bans, Serengetis, Oakleys, etc.?

Its a painting my MC Poulsen called 'French Leave', I have it hanging behind my desk in the office. I picked it up several years ago when I got my first "real" apartment. Much of my family is cajun, so the picture kinda takes me back to the french-canadian part of my ancestry.
Anyway, back on topic. I have a birthday coming up and the conversation with my wife about what I want turned to sunglasses. I used to have a pair of serengeti sunglasses with driver lenses that were fantastic and was just wondering where I could pick up another pair locally.
There's a booth at the Turtle Creek Mall in the middle. They have a good selection, but a little pricey. Its a good place to look and find what you like and then shop around for a better price.

I've never understood the fascination with designer sunglasses. I tell my wife to go get a $1 pair at Dollar Tree or other such place and simply replace it when my daughter breaks them.

I am not necessarily looking for 'designer sunglasses'. I am more concerned with the quality of the lenses and the amount of UV light that they block. Cheap sunglasses from the Dollar Tree or walmart won't do it.

That's true....I guess generally speaking, the sunlight doesn't bother me. I'm usually travelling east from my office at the end of the day...and going west to it in the morning. Any other time the sun is high enough over the horizon that it's not going to bother me. I don't particularly care for those clip on types that go over glasses either.

Some of the optical places may carry them..maybe you can just get a pair without a prescription attached to them?
I know there is a sunglass place in the Prime Outlets in Gulfport...or there was last time I was there. It's still there according to their website..sunglass outlet.
I had a pair of shades that went with my glasses..they were magnetic and i loved them..but now they are broken and the replacements aren't as good...it's time to update my prescription anyway..

Tully, I received a pair of Serengeti sunglasses as a gift several years ago, and the person who purchased them for me said they came from Sam's.

The place in the mall is the Sunglass Hut (http://www.sunglasshut.com/sghus.cfm?dir=templates&page=home).
