Here are the winners of our first annual Hattiesburg's Best survey:

Best Overal Restaurant: Crescent City Grill

Best Breakfast: IHOP

Best Lunch: La Fiesta

Best Dinner: Chesterfield's

Best Burger: Mugshot's

Best Pizza: Pizza Hut

Best Steak: Donanelle's

Best PoBoy: Peter's

Best Ice Cream: Tie between Marble Slab and Baskin Robbins

Best Coffee Shop: JavaWerks

Best Grocery Store: Corner Market

Best Family-Owned Business: McLelland's TV

Best Bookstore: Books-A-Million

Best Movie Theater: Turtle Creek Cinema

Best Cellular Phone Service: Tie between Cingular and Cellular South

Best Bank: Three way tie between Hancock Bank, Community Bank, and Union Planters

Best Salon: Salon West



The next step is to put up a web page talking about each of these stores and what they offer, along with some directions. If anyone would like to help out on any of these, I'd appreciate it. Thanks to everyone that voted, I'll have a new survey up soon.

I guess its just personal preference, but I havn't ever really cared much for McLellands. Wasn't treated well when I went in there several years ago.

I really think the Roller Dome on Hwy 49 is the best skating rink.....oh wait, wrong thread....I thought this was best of 1985....

Here's what I think


Restaurants

Restaurant (Overall): Cresent City

Breakfast: IHOP (Havn't gotten any new breakfast places!)

Lunch: Olive Garden

Dinner: Copeland's (Still has the best chicken pasta ever!)

Burger: This is almost a tie but Cresent City's Bacon Burger is just slightly better than Mugshot's burger. Both burgers are a MUST to experience if you love a good burger

Pizza: Pizza hut!

Steak: Donaelle's

Poboy: Gold Post (for poboys but subs is easily fire house!)

Ice Cream: This is a simple one, Coldstone!! Cake batter ice cream!

Coffeeshop: Javawerks


Shopping

Real Estate:

Grocery Store: Corner Market

Family-Owned Business: Lethia's BBQ off of 98w (I know I misspelled the name).

Bookstore: BAM!

Florist:


Entertainment

Movie Theater: The Grand

Place to take a date: Laser Tag! (I am old-fashion!)

Fun in the Sun: The zoo!

It's botox, if you haven't noticed, my facial expression never changes. I communicate with a series of winks and mouth noises in person.
