Cpt Steve Rosser with HPD resigned yesterday. WDAM had a story on the news last night (loved the way coleen pronouced his name "r a s s e r" ) He is going to work for the lamar county schools. I have known Steve since he started with HPD in 1990. He is one of the best officers HPD ever had. WHY does someone leave after 15 years? He was a Captain? Fourth Highest ranking officer in the department, a leader of the biggest divison in the department.. Everybody knows why and wil not do anything about it. Folkes you just dont understand what shape HPD is in...

This is just another example of why Wynn needs to go. Wwhen you have veteran officers like Rosser leaving, something is wrong. I just wish that Dupree and the city council could see what's really going on. Maybe they just don't care, but it is really decreasing the number of police officers we have, thus making the city an unsafe place.

Wynn is sad about the good peoples leaving the Dept. Like a modern day "Trail of Tears" it seems. Wynn is dumb...founded, as to why officers can't accept a puppeted dictator with no direction or rationale. Wynn finds this to be the best way for "him", so why can't others make it work.?.?.? Wynn is short on "change" these days. Would anyone care to spare a lil bit of "cents" or "sense"? :smt102

Steve Rosser is a close friend of mine and was a dedicated and loyal officer to the HPD and the citizens of Hattiesburg. He always displayed compassion and professionalism in everything he did. During his tenure as HPD training officer he pushed an agenda of progress and pro-active training that benefited all of the HPD. I wish him well and congradulate him on his accomplishments and thank him for what he gave to the city of Hattiesburg (despite Wynn, DuPree, and Fairley).

He will be a valuable asset for the Lamar County Schools as Director of School Safety and Compliance.

I am glad for Steve Rosser but sad for this city. We are sadly lacking in veteran officers and no one seems to care. He was an excellent officer and the last of "the best of" in the training academy. Good luck Steve and great employing practices for Lamar County-he will definetly be an asset to them.

When is Kim Bradley going to get it? Steve Rasser is yet another gain for Lamar County at the expense of the City of Hattiesburg and with all of the good officers leaving, it shows a clear lack of morale and confidence within the department.

If I am still actually in the City of Hattiesburg, I don't live in the district, but I will campaign against, contribute money, and do anything else to see him defeated in the 2009 Republican primary if he votes to reconfirm Wynn. He is ignoring the wishes of his constituency who voted for him and Betsy Rowell if he does this. The voters of District One did not elect him to be a puppet of the DuPree administration. If they'd wanted that Lajuana Richardson would have won.

What in the heck is he doing with Wynn? Oh good lord! I certainly hope Bradley doesn't get suckered in with all the charm that is being put on him by the chief. It is so easy (for some) to put the charm on at just the right time. It should be easier to see that you are being suckered in. A good business person senses this right away. We shall see. If he gets suckered in they will all be laughing and saying GOTCHA! How embarassing! Do the right thing Mr. Bradley, by the people that put you into office. Ha, how ironic that people will be saying Dang! we should have voted for that Scooter guy-lol. To late-cause I know how he would have voted. We certainly wouldn't be discussing this topic and guessing and praying HE vote the right way.

Noway, did you see this yourself... That seems to be nothing less than approval of wynn. If he didnt appove of him why would he be seen with him. Kim must not realize that when it comes right down to it, all of kims friends and peers are feed up with wynn and if he votes to appove wynn he will never get out from under that bad decision. He is in over his head if he does not realize this. He may be concilman but his name will be mudd in the circles he travels in. He is a hattiesburg guy, i cant believe he would be gullible enough to trust wynn. Oh well we wont have long.. hubbarrister, if he does approve him, ill be standing right beside you to bring him down.
