As I read some of the postings, one can tell that some people are much more protective of Hattiesburg than others. So, I can curious... what is everyone's hometown? Vote in the poll, but please elaborate if other than Hattiesburg. Sorry if no one else thinks this would be interesting. I am just curious.

For me, it's Brandon. I've been in this area the past four years.

i was born and raised in northeast oklahoma. moved to houston texas, then to hattiesburg. been here longer than anywhere else in my life. i love hattiesburg.

I'm just good ole coast trash, borned and raised in Long Beach, moved here to go to college, got married to another coast girl, we decided we didn't care much for the coast any more, it just wasn't the same place we had grown up in. We've decided to stay in h'burg and raise our family. We've been in these parts some seven years now, and are pretty attached to the community.

Born and raised in Texas, finished school in the Pine Belt area, but have lived in Hattiesburg for the last 4 years.

Hattiesburg will always be "home" since I did most of my growing up there. We moved to Hattiesburg when I was in the 6th grade in 1969, just two months after Camille had hit. I didn't leave there until 1981 when my husband was transferred to Illinois. I don't get back near as much as I'd like since the rest of my family lives in other states too.

That's what makes this site so nice...it keeps me up-to-date on what's going on and makes me feel a little less homesick.

Born in LaMesa, California (just outside of San Diego). Raised in Brookhaven, Mississippi and moved to Hattiesburg in 1985 and to Petal in 1996.

Created in Brookhaven . . . flew with the Eagles . . . worked the streets in Hollywood . . . relocated back to Brookhaven . . . perched on the Coast . . . did some "drilling" in Tulsa . . . again back to Brookhaven, once released from there I came to establish myself in Oak Grove before moving to Fairlyville.
