As per the HA today,,,, Capt. Steve Rosser has taken a position with Lamar Co. Rosser (16 years in law enforcement) oversaw the HPD patrol department and took a position as a schol district police chief. Any thoughts?????

i can just see an officer with under 3 years service being a captin. not saying that some of them are not able to handle the job, but there are very few left with over 5 years exp.

My wife's father was with HPD since 1983. He left a within a year of Wynn obtaining office. He wasn't that happy with the previous two chiefs, either. He was a SWAT leader and an Lt. Now he's living on his pension. He worked out a deal to retire early b/c he couldn't stand the way the department was going.
