Sky High

Although it may sound like an Afroman production it's really about a high school for superheroes. I was surprised when Saturday night I was reading the list of movies playing in town and Joe says "Sky High would be good.." My first thought was "who are you? did you not just hear the Dukes of Hazzard is out? or how about Stealth?" Hubby never ceases to surprise me, but he made a good call with this one.

Sky High is a Disney production and squeaky clean so definitely kid friendly. Many laugh out loud moments throughout so not a bad way to spend a few hours.

I must admit I had no desire to see this one...I'm thinking a school for gifted youngsters...err...superheroes has been done with the X-Men(I'm such a comic book geek) why do they want to go all cheesy with this? While it had moments of campy-ness it was still surprisingly entertaining.

YOU want to see stealth?!

Ok, the Dukes of Hazard would have rawked. I didn't know I was that addicted to car chases and things blowing up until I saw the in theater previews for that one.

Stealth however looks like a special effects extravaganza looking for a plot. Umm ... no thank you. I know I know I know ... I'm usually the one that says "If it's pretty that's good enough" but I don't know ... artificially intelligent flying planes?! No thanks.

Sky High was pretty good though. I needed a laugh last night which is why I suggested it. If you're under 15 this one should garner 5 stars with ya. If you are over 15 then it depends on whether you're a comic geek, mentally under 15, and or on prescription drugs as to how you'll enjoy it. 5 stars for 3 out of 3, 4 stars for 2 out of 3, 3 stars for 1 out of 3, and 1 star otherwise.

Our little girl will own this one ;)
