a big storm

back in 73 or 74,i remember a realy bad storm in hattiesburg. i was very young,but i remember wathing the midday show,mary porter was on.i remember it being a sunny day,but then it started to get dark then darker till it was as black as midnight,i remember my grandmother thinking it was the end of the world,my dad called my aunt who lived down the road and told her and my uncle to come to our house because ours was brick.i went outside with my mother to watch for them and i remember the sky being pitch black,when we saw my aunt and uncle coming,allyou could see was their headlights.alittle while laterall heck broke lose thunder lightning,big hail and wind heavy rains. when it got light again there was about 6 inches of water standing inthe yard,i remember asking my mother if i coud go fishing in it.i cant seem to find anybody that remembers it and i have brought it up to a good many folks over the years.does anyone here remember it?

Dave i remember that day well.. nice morning then around noon it went black as night. unbelievable winds, rain, and hail. I was in the service building at the old mazda shop where uhaul is now, under a tin roof with open service doors, it was like the end of the world. never seen anything like it before or since.

thank goodness you remember it ,i was begining to think i had made it all up in my mind.i have had a lot of people tell me i was lying or making it up.it was vry scary.

I remember it also,,, was a student a Sacred Heart then,,,,, tornado went over H'burg that day, lots of hail and rain,,,,,, VERY SCARY!!!!!

I remember that one too. I remember being at HHS between classes and watching it get so dark outside.
