Hattiesburg's THE SQUIRMS are releasing their debut CD Heads Like Balloon and will be playing a short FREE in-store set to commemorate this at T-Bone's Records, 2101 Hardy Street at 4:15pm on Friday, August 26th. Join us in-store and see the Squirms full set later that same night at the Thirsty Hippo, and tune in to Frontiers on WUSM-FM 88.5 to hear the in-store set.

What kind of music do they play?

Thank you for asking Joe. The Squirms play sort of melodic rock. Their songs remind me of Guided by Voices and My Morning Jacket, but they only a very subtle edge..they have one song called "She's So Rad" that I simply can't get out of my head. I just keep walking around and singing it. I wish I could point you to their website so you hear it, but it's not quite operational yet. If you listen to Frontiers tomorrow, we'll be happy to play some for you. Just curious, what music do you like?

I'm mostly a Jazz/Classical/Classic Rock kinda guy though I like just about something in every genre of music. (I can't say much about Opera though).

Thanks wusmmik, but I'm rarely around my radio during the day :( and my lunch hour is about as erratic as ... as erratic as ... well it's pretty erratic I can tell you that ;) I'll try to make it to TBones if my lunch falls in the right hour though.
