I loved that movie.. Nicholas Cage did a great job in this movie.. 4 stars

Still an amazing movie today. I remember the first time I saw it, I was physically and emotionally drained and depressed for two whole days. Cage is at his absolute peak (sorry folks, National Treasure was insipid) and Shue is perfect as well. There are so many chilling scenes in this movie, and so many that have a stinging beauty. Mike Figgis' direction is key, his speeding up and slowing down puts us right in Ben's drunken shoes-then he waylaid me with the stark almost play-like handling of Ben & Sera as tragic lovers. A classic.
