From the hatisBUUUUUURG American:
Following a Tuesday night tanker truck accident, Hattiesburg police are encouraging motorists today to avoid the southbound lanes of Interstate 59 near the Hardy Street exit.
A tanker carrying a lube oil additive overturned at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, and road crews spent much of the night pumping the additive into another tanker.
HPD spokeswoman Robin Walker said work at the accident site could continue throughout the day. She advised drivers to use alternative routes to prevent traffic congestion.- - -
