Well kick-off is set for 6 pm saturday night.. The weather will be great. You will have queens, dixie darlings, cheerleaders, southern misses, and Lots of cokes and food. I dont think its on TV I havent looked yet. Maybe somisstv could help us out with that. Will you be there..

Doc, I like Pearl River, they play good juco football, but thats just what it is juco football. Different talent level, the game is played at a different speed, so why take a trip down 59 unless you have some particular player at the river you want to watch. just my opinion.

anyone know what time the parade is saturday? I think me and 543listguy might take some pics for myhattiesburg. I know in the past it has been around 10 am at roses parking lot..

Funny you should say that...we had more than a few scouts on campus last year from major four year universities. A scout from a C-USA team told me at lunch that our Pearl River team last year would have blown USM off the field. No wonder this team took a few of our players and then cleaned USM's clock this year.

Doc, you trippin if you think last years Pearl River team could beat Southern Miss. They could play 10 times and Pearl River is not going to win a game. No so-called scout in his right mind would make a statement like that.

Doc, these scouts were blowing smoke. The River impresses the heck out of me on a juco level, but you can't compare juco and D-1, been around football for a long time, trust me on this one!

I don't care if ESPN said something like that, its NONSENSE. I've seen Pearl River and USM play and there is no way PRCC would last 2 quarters with USM. There are some very gifted athletes at PRCC but it takes 20-30 top level athletes to win a game.

I agree JMack, Southern Miss can put their best 22 on the field and Pearl River can put their best 22 on the field and it might be close for a quarter but depth would tell the tale. TheDoc needs to stick with those special ed classes or whatever classes he is taking.

I hope this is not a serious opinion and just a way to take a jab at Bower or USM. I played at a Community College and when I came to USM it was as different as night and day. Some of the athletes at Community College can play with the big boys, true (Joe Horn etc..) but as a team its no contest. And I can assure you whether you like Coach Bower or not, the PRCC coach couldn't replace or an assistant. If he is really a master at coaching he wouldn't be in Poplarville.

Ever heard of a first college job AlphaMale? What was Bower's first job. And whether it is JUCO, D2, D1, tell me how many National Championships Bower has won. How many has he even come close to winning?

How many did you win in JUCO, AlphaMale?

About as many as you. At least I played while you were probably twirling a flag next to the band.

Not to mention that PRCC would completely outcoach Jeff Bower and his bozos. Bower can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag.

This thread is titled USM. Why are we talking about the merits of some junior college? Junior college's recruit atheletes that were not chosen by the Division I, II or III universities or those who couldn't meet eligibility requirements.

Doc, check out the HA sports today, there's an article about the Barnes kid from the river, maybe the quote from your Coach Hatten or Southern Miss OC Johnson will enlighten u, but I seriously doubt u can be enlightened about anything.

Oh, I don't have to worry about that. The only bad reps I have were done so by the Doc and MayerJohkneeduprix.

And let me say that I don't know that they're the same person. I just find it odd...particularly since the one from the Mayer had no comment and came right after the Doc and I had a disagreement.
