Just out on DVD. Starring Will Ferrell, Robert Duval, Mike Ditka, and a lot of people who probably never will be heard from again...
If you liked Bad News Bears, this movie is exactly like it, except:
It's about soccer
It has no endearing characters
It's boring
It's not funny
I don't know how many bad ways to talk about a movie. Will Ferrell has been typecast in a role of a clueless idiot, and he plays this part to a tee in this movie. Except now the role is so predictable and old that everyone can see what's coming as soon as the movie starts.
If you're a Mike Ditka fan, this is probably the best part of the whole movie.
Don't waste your money, wait until it comes on Comedy Central, which I'm sure will be very soon.
I give it a 1.
