Los Angeles Times - WASHINGTON — Congress on Thursday sent President Bush a bill long sought by the National Rifle Assn. that shields gun makers and sellers from lawsuits arising from misuse of their weapons.

How can you hold gun manufacturers liable when the gun works as intended? :-D

Seriously, though, I think this is a good idea. Guns, cigarettes, beer, cars, and fast food are all legal, so why should those companies that provide them be held liable when someone does something stupid, like kill or injure someone (including themselves)?
