If you are a true Bruce Willis fan, do not miss this movie! The film provides intense moments throughout to keep you interested from beginning to end. Bruce Willis portrays LAPD negotiator Jeff Talley, who resigns from his job after experiencing a devastating failed hostage situation and decides to become the local chief of police in a sleepy, quiet town in Ventura County. Without giving away too much more of the plot, the movie is a cool, thriller which keeps you spellbound. Bruce Willis delivers an exceptional performance. He's a bit older, a bit wiser, and continues to remain the King of action heroes. Rumer Willis (talented daughter of Bruce Willis, who delivers a powerful performance) also stars in the movie. This film is a must see.

I watched this movie just last night.

I've always liked Bruce Willis, and this movie was pretty typical of what to expect from him. I thought he played the role very well, but the script could have used a lot of work. There were several parts in the movie where I was wondering what the heck was going on - one in particular was the helicopter scene where Bruce was bargaining with the kidnappers. Another was the end where the father did what he did. Was that part planned by him and Bruce?

The supporting cast was not that great. A couple of them were actually bad.

But overall it was entertaining to watch; for Willis fans, it's a must-see. I gave it a 3.

Wilebill, I understood both parts just fine. :p My husband and I watched it last Thursday night, and he asked the same thing about the ending. (Must be a man thing :smt118 - you guys tend to not "listen" haha!!)

In both parts of the movie you are talking about, there are some important things which happen before those scenes that you have to be paying attention to in order to understand what happens. I can't say on here or I'll give away too much of the movie. You can pm me if you want and I'll explain. :-D

Thanks noway, but I can't take 100% credit for it. I used a few ideas from someone else on that one. :smt080
